40th Year Celebrations in 2017!

As the mists lift from the southern highlands slopes this morning it reveals a true scottish arena.  Brigadoon will set the hairs on your arms a standin!

Join our Brigadoon day for the Scottish time of your life.  The core of the day has to be the pipes and drums, the massed bands and the tartan.  But lets not forget the 100 specialty stalls and food stalls.  There is always something to entertain us here.  One day of the year where we can take in the spectacle of massed pipes and drums.  Watch the hurling, throwing and lifting games.  There are kids activities and there are sights to behold.   There are foods to be tried and tested.

Street Parade

The Parade begins at 9.30 a.m. Thousands line the streets as hundreds of pipes and drums (over 20 bands in all), colourful floats and displays, marchers, vintage cars, and service and community vehicles make their way to the grounds for the games.

Massed Bands Display

After the bands have arrived, the first of the massed band displays for the day takes place. Up to 300 pipers and drummers regularly perform every year at Brigadoon.

With carefully maneuvered patterns of marchers, the flourishes of the drum majors, and the heavenly sound of the pipes receding, advancing, and reverberating around the glen, you don't need to be Scottish to feel the thrill of the occasion.
